Newbie here..I planted a Eureka lemon tree a week ago and i noticed when i planted it that many of its leaves were light green. Are there any deficincies with my tree?
new growth is often a bit yellow until it fully greens up ...
i wound not fert a new transplant ... lets see what mother earth and father? sun can do for it.. while it settles down.. in 6 top 8 weeks.. if it need some fert.. that would probably be approved ...
water your tree better than you water the lawn ... lawn watering is not sufficient for a newly planted tree is what i mean ....
get a better.. thicker stake ... its going to break before the tree does ... and id probably slide it down the trunk.. and into the ground .... so as to splint the trunk to the stake .. rather than 4 to 6 inches out ....
Thank you for all the information Ken. I have been doing a nice deep late afternoon watering daily. I will position the stake closer to the tree, but how long usually is a stake needed for a new plant ? Again thank you for all the helpful information.
