Now it’s Austin time. I only have two, but they’re reliably stunning.

Floribunda (OLOG), mini (LCry), miniflora (HS) , and small shrub (RS).

I’m always singing the praises of Rockwall Sesq. it’s been in a pot for four years, doesn‘t seem inclined to get much bigger. Balls in rain, but we hardly ever have any, so not a big issue. i love this rose from ARE!

My other tea. Susceptible to chili thrips, but a sheer pleasure most of the time. I only get the deeper copper color in cooler temps, though.

Waiting in the wings. We are supposed to heat up this week — into the 90s — and that should open these buds pronto!

Seaside, I think Dr. Grill is the champion here. Both teas are along the same wall, about 8 feet apart, so they get the same amount of light and shade.

Some folks aren’t fans of quilled petals. Could Dr Grill change any minds? There’s even a bit of a stripe on one of these (lower right).
