I replaced my mattress relatively recently and had time to do extensive searching at various stores - checked out Temperpedic, standard coil and latex. My budget was pretty high at that point - not on the Duxiana level - but relatively high.

I did lie on several 100% Latex mattresses and really liked the way they felt. However the cost for a high quality 100% Latex mattress was a bit outside of my budget at the time as I was also getting an adjustable frame and I wound up spending a bit above $4000 for the mattress and the frame.

What I did get was somewhat of a compromise. The core of the mattress is super dense foam but the top layers are latex so it feels somewhat like a latex mattress. My mattress is super comfortable - I describe it as sleeping on a relatively firm cloud because of the way the latex comfort layer feels. FWIW I do NOT like Temperpedic type of memory foam because I feel swallowed and unable to shift at all. My next mattress is going to be 100% latex,

It has been awhile since I did my research but the quality of the latex itself can vary so I am suspicious of some of the less expensive "latex" mattresses being peddled now. There is a store in LA which does custom latex mattresses with different layers so that you can adjust the feel of the mattress.

Thank you for the comments. From my research I'm nearly convinced an organic 100% natural latex would be a good investment but was slightly concerned of the durability. 15 to 20 years is impressive @blackhole123 and much better than the 3 years and 15 day beautyrest disaster I'm waiting for approval on a warranty claim.

A refund would be a credit and have not plans to buy another beautyrest so I'll use it to buy someone else a new mattress. A denied claim or not, it's a total write off but @Helen

your comment rang a bell and I checked a local manufacturer I used two decades ago for a standard coil mattress. They make a latex mattress but it's Talatech Talalay Latex and is 30% Latex and 70% synthetic rubber and if anything a step above memory foam.

(Just now) After 2 days of calling at various times to a local Macy's to check if they had a Latex mattress on display I ended up in a full mail box every time. Finally after 45 min's today pushing options on the phone a human answered from a call center who was nice enough to connect my call to a corporate sales rep. Found out of the 3 latex mattresses they sell only one is displayed in 2 stores within the Minneapolis/st. Paul area. I'll finally get to lay on one and can't wait.

Hi Kevin - my latex mattress experience is more than 20 years old. But I felt that information may help you some. We had 100% latex, made by Englander, 20+ years ago. Extremely comfortable, cool sleeping, not bad on motion transfer. It was all good up until about year 18. Then it felt too firm. But it had a great run! I see you are in the Mnpls/St Paul area. We live in Wisconsin and bought ours at Verlo - a local manufacturer of standard mattresses but also have a 100% latex available - at least as of 3 years ago. Lots of on-line places too but I too would be leery if it doesn’t work out, the return policy - not only the refund but how do you deal with a large, “rubbery” mattress! Good luck!

I learned some things from the link @Helen posted and not done but learned enough to say away from some brands. Companies who won't list materials openly with transparency for ones to avoid.

The king Koil at Macy's was a disappointment with only 1" of natural latex toward the bottom of the layers. It was conformable and $4800 but wasn't what I want and to expensive. One King Koil they didn't have on the floor did peak my interest so I dissected it's layers and was surprised to find it had even more than what I wanted, and only $5700! My budget is $3000 but I I'm going to buy it anyway because on Monday Macy's started a mattress sale with 50% off and more on most of their mattresses. Now the $5700 mattress is $2795 and worth the price.

I didn't even know graphite and carbon infused foams existed but found it's good to have and the mattress has 4" of natural talalay latex and the craftsmanship is superb. If anyone ever wanted a $5000 Airloom mattress you can get it for $2000 at Macy's until April 17th.

Welcome Bergen sleep center. I've had my King Coil latex mattress for about 9 months and it has exceeded my wildest expectations. My wife hurt her back 40 years ago and no longer wakes up with back pain and something we never expected would ever happen. I'm actually sleeping well all night, and something I can't remember the last time this happened. No pressure point pains, no need to switch positions and it is truly like sleeping on a cloud. No signs of anything breaking down inside the mattress, no dips, sags or lumps and we don't sleep hot. But the best part is you don't sink into a hot deep hole which takes a lot of effort to roll out of like memory foam.

It's been only 9 months but I'd spend $3K every year to sleep like I'm sleeping now on this natural latex bed, but don't believe I'll need another one for many many years. The last beauty rest (like the junk you show as a mattress) started breaking down in 9 months, the one before about 2 years, and the ones before that a couple of years. I'm sold on natural latex, love what I have and won't need your spam service. Good luck anyway and with so much competition you'll need more than luck. Maybe latex can help.
