I see a space that is past the openings what do you plan for that. The layouts you show are IMO both awkward for actual use since the patio doors will be hard to get at daily. Do you need the paio doors there ? The bottom layout is IMO better than the top one but still a lot of seating in the space I would probably just do the 2 sofas and no chairs to give free access to the patio door if that stays. then you arrange the sofas as they are in the top drawing or do a soofa and the 2 chairs st the bottom of the drawing.. A bit more info would be great .

The space opens up to the dining room and a walkway (see pic below). And the left & right are walkways leading to other rooms (kitchen, bedroom area). We can't change the location of the patio doors now.

The gas fireplace wall is the focal point because we are going to use a beautiful tile to spruce it up.
