How are you fertilizing? When you water, do you water in small sips to avoid over-watering; or, do you water over the sink and wait until the pot stops draining before returning the pot to its collection saucer; or, do you allow the water that collects in the saucer be 'reabsorbed' back into the grow medium?

Did you know that plants which are very rootbound will shed older leaves that wouldn't be shed if the plant was not rootbound? Does your home have a water softener?

I fertilized for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I water over the sink until water comes out the bottom and remove any extra water. I checked the roots last week to make sure I wasnt missing any root rot ans they looks healthy. I know that they enjoy being snugg in their pots and she wasn't totally root bound yet so kept her in the same pot.
