Jubilee Celebration - 3rd Year

This is the fist time Jubilee has done so well for me. It seems to prefer being in the ground better than being in the pot, in my experience anyway.

I never realized JC had pointed petals like James Galway. You do a great job growing your roses and you bring out such rich colors.

I love the deep & vibrant color of your Jubilee Celebration. How do you fertilize it? THANK YOU. It has dark green & glossy leaves. My experience with dark green & glossy leaves: they prefer alkaline pH and plenty of alkaline minerals in the soil (esp. magnesium & calcium).

How do you like the scent of Jubilee Cel. compared to Boscobel and Princess A. of Kent? Thanks.

Pots tend to be more acidic due to rain water accumulated, plus potting soil doesn't have enough minerals to make leaves shiny.

straw, so far i've only put the custom 13-6-6 organic fertilizer on this rose from a local fertilizer company, will probably do organic knockout rose food next

Hoang Ton, you are amassing a collection of splendid roses. I've always loved Jubilee Celebration, though I don't grow it, and what a wonderful example you grow. She's in the ground, right? I think most roses would prefer growing in the ground, though I'm not so sure, seeing the lovely roses you grow in pots. To me Boscobel, PAoK, and Jubilee Cell have a similar coloration and look, though JC's blooms seem a little fluffier and less structured. I have liked Boscobel so well that it made it easier to give up PAoK-ha. Diane

I check Jobe's Organic Knockout Rose at NPK 3-4-3, it's twice the cost of Jobes' Organic Tomato fertilizer NPK 2-5-3 (4 lb. for $6.98). Both have the same ingredients.

I'm buying a second bag of Jobe's organic tomato fertilizer for roses (bone meal, poultry manure, sulfate of potash), it's -56% off on Amazon. I like how bone meal deepens the color of my roses. Jobe's Organic Knockout Rose has the SAME INGREDIENTS, but with Feather meal to UP the NPK to 3-4-3.

I don't like Espoma Tone since they have chemical nitrogen fertilizer. The last time I used Plant tone my Dee-lish shot up to be 7 feet tall with less bloom, and the last time I used Holly Tone, Dee-lish was near 8 feet tall.

Stunning! Mine was new last year... it's nice to have something to look forward to. I love how the underside of the petals is a light contrast to the bright pink. Your plants are delightful.
