Now let the fun begin. Should have some big ones!

I know the majority will just be plain green hosta, but am hoping for a few with interesting leaves and with the Wu, maybe a big one or two. Will have to grow those for a few years to find that out.

How are they growing now?

Getting a few more germinated and a little more growth. Still little babies and no idea what they'll grow up to be.

Cute! Some seem glossy, and some with heart leaves. Fun!

A bit further along, and growing nicely, but no way to tell which are keepers. I would think by now if their were any variegated ones it would be showing and I don't see any. But others, like the seedlings from Empress Wu, I don't think I'll know until they've been growing for a year or two. I plan to leave them in the seed pots for this year as I can't see potting up several hundred. That's a lot of pots and soil.

Wow, you have some work ahead! Love how upright some seedlings look. What are you looking for in them?

The number one thing I'm looking for is variegation, after that leaf texture, I like it bumpy, and then size. This is the first time I've done this, and while I know most will be plain green, beyond that I'm not sure what to expect.

And yes, potting up all of those will be quite a chore, which is why I'm waiting. Hoping they show me which ones are worth it sometime next year. I will collect seed again this year and will sow fewer seeds per pot. I was surprised at the high germination rate I was getting. These look a bit crowded.

Some already showing to be yellow I see. I think it takes longer to see if green turns into blue.
