I’m currently in the process of designing our new kitchen for our cottage. I’m on the fence about how to finish the peninsula seating area. I need to decide between enclosing the end with panels or leaving the overhang portion open and dress it up with furniture leg. I have provided 2 examples below. The seating side of the peninsula is exposed to the living room as it’s an open concept space so I’m leaning towards using the furniture legs to tie the room together. On the other hand I really like the clean lines of using the panel. I do not like the look of the quartz overhang without any support as it looks unfinished to me.
Would love your opinions on this. Thanks in advance.
