Lighting Kitchens Design Dilemma

Ideas for wall-mounted light above kitchen sink

I am in the process of refreshing my kitchen. I’d like to install lighting in an awkward spot above the window/kitchen sink and between cabinetry. The kitchen will have a mid-century modern feel and the cabinetry will be a light taupe color. Many thanks because I am at a loss. Most fixtures that have a downlight appear to me to be better suited for bathroom vanities.

Schoolhouse Electric has all kinds of wall sconces that would be great in a mid-mod kitchen:

Not a pro, but for a sconce not to look bathroom-y, I would say 1) it has an arm of some sort 2) It only has one light, not multiple.
