I am having problems with my current landscaping. It seems unbalanced and random. There were previously trees on each corner (as seen in 2nd photo) but 2 were cut down. The rose bushes seem like a poor choice next to a pool where children are running around also. And the juniper ground cover is very annoying to keep weed free. The hosta on one side refuses to grow much but the other side its ginormous so I want it gone. I'm looking for any ideas that don't require professional work. I have considered putting some sort of artificial turf instead of the stone. Or maybe some corner cabana pergolas for to help provide privacy and shade.
