In 2020, I planted a very pretty Weeping Redbud in my front yard (Dallas, TX area). Then in 2021 and 2022 we had crazy, abnormal winter freezes and the tree did not survive. At least so I thought. Recently I noticed some leaves sprouting on one of the thin branches at the bottom (purple leaves) and new growth all together (green leaves) at the very base of the tree. Does that mean this tree has hope? I was going to have it removed in a couple of weeks, but if there is a chance to keep it, I would love to! Anyone know if there is anything I can do to help it or are those leaves their last goodbye to me? Please see pics attached.
