I apologize for the typos and mess. I'm still trying to unpack. This is the TV room. The couch will face the TV and dark wood corner TV stand.

Tiny space. I'd try two accent chairs with a nice pattern and color. Here are a couple of styles from Target.

I can't tell where the tv is, but I have to agree with deco that two chairs will be best. Probably only two people would sit on that couch and why not have the chairs instead. They are easier to arrange in front of the window and you can get a pattern that coordinates with the couch, so it looks like you planned it, which you did! Two couches will look mismatched, in my opinion.

I love the patterns, and I agree that the 2 chairs would look better, but my husband and I love to lounge when we watch TV, so the love seat would be more functional. Is there a way to achieve comfort and design?

I'm going to make some assumptions here: one, that this is a lovely, but tiny Craftsman living room, and two, that your furniture is just shoved here temporarily since you haven't fully moved in. I'd like more pictures of the room--specifically, all four walls (in better light, if possible)--but if your room is like mine (also a tiny Craftsman living room, but with a fireplace), furniture arrangement is a real challenge and chairs often don't really work.

Could you put an ottoman in front of the couch and use that for your feet? Play footsie???

What are the room's measurements? If it's as small as it looks you'll need small scale furnishings. Keep the color scheme simple and have lots of space showing under the seating. A small glass table would probably be helpful too. If you can get me the measurements I can make suggestions with more details.

It is small. There is not much light because we need to buy a lamp. Once we get the furniture, we can then make decisions about a light and rug.

It looks just lovely! Okay, there are as many answers to your questions as there are designers! But here is solution/design scheme No. 1: go with paler tones on the walls. Keep the floors bare ie: no rugs. Do light grays and beiges with small pops of color here and there. By pops of color I don't mean dark or too bright, but rather paler tones of the following...apricot or robin's egg blue or lemon yellow. Scheme no. 2...more sophisticated with again, grays and beiges but with accent colors of black, pale gray-blue.

The sofa should be no wider than 85 inches as my best guess. I also like doing two loveseats in small spaces but I'm not sure your doorways would allow that. Good luck! Remember to focus on scale and slight color contrasts. No sharp contrasts. Shiree'

Oh, one last thing. It's been my experience that each room has one "best" floor plan/furniture layout. Place the sofa first. Get it visually anchored with artwork (like a strongly framed mirror above, maybe an ornate silver leaf. Next place the chairs. Choose chairs that are not bulky. Don't set the floor plan around the television if possible.

How about a chaise? I removed that little cabinet on the left and added one. I couldn't decide which way to orient it , so I gave you one of each.

Well, I got interrupted and should have refreshed the page before posting the pics above. Gorgeous house! Seeing the rest of the room, I do believe you have settled on the best arrangement and a sofa and love seat might make the most sense.. I assume those cabinets to the left of the cream sofa are leaving. As it is, you've got a lot of furniture crammed together and some of it needs to leave.

Which wall is longer: the one where the sofa is now, or the window wall?

The room seems small for a couch and a loveseat. How about a comfortable chair? Don't mind the colours, I just wanted to show some different styles. Although these colours could look nice with your couch.

These are classic club chairs and leather would be a nice contrast with the fabric of your couch.

Nice chairs, Lydia! Find any fun recliner ones that could work since they like to lounge while they watch tv? Maybe that would be the idea....a chair by day and a recliner by night.

I like the idea of a bigger chair. I just struggle to find one that is 35" deep.

Club chairs are typically quite deep. The chairs I posted are about 41" deep. I found the first three fabric ones at Z Gallerie.

Hi! Great space, so nice to have that much natural light. You should check out Bryght for your new furniture pieces, I think the Ceni loveseat in liquorice would work great in your living room, the dark fabric would be very anchoring. You could even replace the loveseat with a chair or two and pair it with a coordinating ottoman that could also serve as coffee table. If the Ceni collection isn't for you I am sure you could find other great pieces from Bryght that would work really well in your living room.

The Everett love seat from West Elm is on sale till Labor Day and would look smashing in poppy with your green couch. It comes in a slew of neutrals too, though.

West Elm doesn't deliver this chair to Canada. I live in Vancouver, BC.
