Help saving a new rose

I left a hose on slow drip on my David Austin rose... and then forgot to shut it off. It basically received about 12 hours of drip. I went outside this morning (when I remembered) and it looked okay but obviously I am worried. Should I do anything at this point or wait and see? We had a few days of rain this past week, but overall we're below average and the rose had looked a tad droopy which is why I watered it. This morning it had perked up actually, but am I headed for root rot? This is my first year with roses. I just planted it a couple of months ago.

If your soil drains well, you probably have nothing to worry about. A slow drip is not far from the equivalent of an extended rainfall and you wouldn't panic about that. Just let the soil dry out before you turn on the drip again :-)
