Tween bedroom refresh

We are in the process of refreshing our tween daughter’s bedroom and just built her new bed but I’m stumped about layout. How would you arrange this furniture? My husband did the arrangement in the photo - he thinks it’s great, but it feels weird to me. On the left is a desk. On the wall to the right is a closet. (Excuse the mess!)

If you want useful comments, you need to post photos of the entire room. I’m guessing your unease with this arrangement is that so much of the furniture is on one side of the room, but of course I don’t really know that. You also need to let people know how big the new bed is.

Floorplan with dimensions, and dimensions of large furniture pieces. You do not want everything pushed against the wall.

The bed shoved lengthwise against the wall is super weird to me. Obviously your husband never makes the bed.
