Taking Pictures in Heavy Rain

It was raining heavily this morning and I told my husband there would be no picture taking today; then I looked out at the garden. On with the raincoat and out I went;

Over the Path to the Right Bed:

Right out in front: Intelligent Design:

FFO in a clump! Heart of Glass

Left of Left Front Bed: Flying Trapeze:

Clown Parade:

I am so enamored with Intelligent Design every year that I may have to add it to my collection. The problem is as always, space. Also am taken with your Heart of Glass clump. For FFOs that's a good bloom count.....Still raining here too. My feet are wet just trying to get across a small patch of grass to deadhead some soggy blooms. Yours are holding up well in the rain. From your garden picture I can see why you had to grab the camera..........Maryl

Sorry to hear you had to do pics in the rain but glad you did as these pics are wonderful. That garden shot is so inspiring but all those mutli bloom pics are just fantastic.

I too am sorry you got wet to take pictures, but I understand why you felt the need. Such beautiful clump pics. Heart of Glass is really starting out with a bang. Boss Hogg looks nice, and Intelligent Design looks good too. Beautiful garden shot.

Sometimes you just gotta get those pics!! Even in the rain!! And the clumps are fabulous! What a great pictture of Intelligent Design and Heart of Glass shines! Rain pics? Totally worth it!!

When I looked out and saw Intelligent Design and Flying Trapeze showing off and could see bloom everywhere, thoughts of not taking pictures because it was raining hard disappeared. Heart of Glass is the first one that has ever bloomed in a nice clump the first time it bloomed here. Even in the back there was a lot of bloom, but the front two beds were really blooming heavily. Sorry I couldn't get get a lot of mushies, but the shoulder has limited me this year.

Love these rainy clump shots! I would have put on my raincoat too….couldnt miss all these lovely blooms.

I am glad you got that raincoat and got those photos! Your garden is lovely and the clump shots are so nice. I am really drawn to Boss Hogg, Heart of Glass, and Clown Parade.

Bob and I will go out in the gator with one of us holding an umbrella over us. (We need a gator with a roof.) We just have to see those daylilies!

With all those wonderful clumps, who could resist photographing in the rain? I think my favorite of all those fantastic clumps is Heart of Glass. You have such a lot blooming now. I was weeding yesterday morning and must have pulled some poison sumac. I have a rash and swelling all over my arm today. It's still raining a lot here, and if I've got anything new blooming, I won't be photographing it until much later today.

Kay, this is an outstanding group of photos. Love the group shots and with nothing blooming here [til Belle Isle Sentry does in about a week] it is hard to believe how far along you are.
