Hi, Wanted opinions of what you all think of my Kitchen backsplash with the Calcatta Laza Quartz. This is natural lighting.

Natural and fake clash. As has been posted on here a million times.

Cheryl appears to be a new poster (0 comments at this point), so might not have read the million discussions you reference.

Cheryl, are you posting because you have doubts? Are you going to replace it if you get more opinions like Verbo's? I love the marble. Quartz is not my favorite material but IMO it looks fine.

It’s beautiful. My aunt did this exact combo and it Looks phenomenal. Nobody wants real marble countertops that’s just ridiculous. Way too much to keep up with every little dot of oil.

Hi, I’m not going to replace it. Just had it installed, just wanted opinions. You are correct, I’ve never posted or commented on here until now. I have seen marble and quartz combinations before that is where I got my inspiration. If I could replace it I would. Just wondering if it looks horrible 😩

I think it looks very pretty; although I’m not a fan of mixing quartz and stone, you did a nice job here. Enjoy your beautiful kitchen.

Not a fan of pattern clashing installs. A quiet single color tile with an interesting shape, and almost matching grout, would be less ibusy.

I think it looks great. Post a pic when everything else is in.

It does not look horrible! Please don't beat yourself up over this one thing. Everyone will have a different opinion, and you would probably have received the same differing opinions if you had asked advice before completing the backsplash. Try to enjoy your beautiful new kitchen.

Its brand new, itrs instelled , and you obviously liked it because you chose it.

i thnk you did a very pretty job choosing what you thought was nice to echo mama goose, if you asked before, you would get vaeying opinions . to ask after the fact, when you cant really do anything to change it, is pointless., as again, you will get varying opinions .

were you unhappy with it or not like it before you posted?

dont let comments make you think differently. i think its pretty now and will look even better once fully complete..

    Elegant

You are so right, I do beat myself up and I overthink. I need to wait until it’s completely finished and decorated. I appreciate your kind words:)

I think it looks fine. Once you’re not hyperfocusing on it, you have the full kitchen back together and decorated, it won’t bother you.

The average person seeing your kitchen won’t know, or care, what the individual components are, and if they ”should or shouldn’t” be used together. Unless you invite some of the harsher posters over, no one will comment. If anyone does makes a rude comment, water down their drink and strike their name from future guest lists.

You are correct! And you made me laugh:)

    Exactly hhireno said!!!

lol…. it’s your home. your house should be you haven and surround you with things that YOU love.

Yes, i like to get opinions for others, and take their opinions i to consideration , but when it comes down to it, im the ine that has to live with it. if your taste or style doesnt align with another person, it doenst mean eother one are wrong jiust a differnt like or dislike.

i think houre in a good place; just contnue your work and it will come together

It's beautiful. And thank you for installing the respectales horizontally!!!

The backsplash looks like your kitchen is wearing beautiful jewelry. <3 Unfortunately this is not the place to come to if you have doubts about something newly installed unless you have thick skin and are prepared to make changes. There are some harsh critics on here.

As other kind people have said: All that matters is that you love it. Live in it, spill spaghetti sauce and red wine all over those counters and ENJOY!

I was only updating for the ones that wanted to see my finished look. As you can see it was my first post and by my responses I was open to any correspondence. I’m Italian so I make spaghetti sauce and drink red wine, backsplash is sealed and I’m pretty conscious of my quartz which by the way is easy to maintain.

    I appreciate your compliment:)

The backsplash and countertops coordinate fairly well.

    Thank you so much:)

Not my cup of tea. I’d never do it. I despise all of the artificial quartz trying to be something they aren’t. The real abutting manmade, accentuates the fakeness of quartz.

But hey, it’s your kitchen. You're the one living with the combination. If you’re happy, that’s all that matters.

    Absolutely! I appreciate your opinion:)
