So, are they saying it's not a new plant, it's just the two plants together in one pot? I have to say that might possibly be genius lol. Amazing no one thought of it before. So simple and yet I don't think I've seen it!

I wonder if you can separate them or if they are meant to be grown as a "single" shrub...

I have seen winterberry holly/Ilex verticilata marketed this way. It makes sense for the average homeowner as long as they are reasonably matched as to size.

I was at a retailer that had both V. dentatum ’All That Glitters’ and ’All That Glows’. I didn’t buy, but later did some research on each when I ran across the combo plant. It may not be novel, but from a pure marketing standpoint, it seems pretty clever.

So I see from GardenGal's second link that the Blue Prince/Princess hollies are meant to be grown as a single shrub. I wonder how the two shrubs do planted together. Interesting. Might be a good concept for smaller gardens. I've never seen this marketing before and like I said, it's pretty good marketing!
