Memphis is so pretty, a lovely shade of pink. I always love Mister Mayor and Black Falcon Ritual. And Jass Me Blues too attracts attention. Beautiful pictures!

I know I wrote some comments about these early this morning, but I don't see it. So here goes again. Memphis is my very favorite. It's such a perfect pink. Mister Mayor, Black Falcon Ritual, My Big Brother Bobby and Jazz Me Blues are also outstanding!

David, no way to stay cool unless you stay inside. It is oppressive heat and hurts to breathe it!

Nancy, as you can see, once again, more purples!! Every time a first flower open appears I expect it to be purple now!! No more purples!!! Or whites....or yellows....or.....

Debra, I have had that same experience several times. Houzz on summer holiday, I suppose....Memphis is a perfect pink. It is a suitcase lily for me for sure!! I moved it last year from a very bad spot and it is so happy now.

These are all terrific and the pink Memphis is so pretty with all the ruffles. Fried Green Tomatoes looks great in a clump.

How tall is John Basilli in your garden? Petit claims it is one of his taller ones. Blushing Escapade is a not-well-known treasure. Its color is lighter here than in your picture (which I suspect has bluish tones because of early morning light). Memphis, of course, is wonderful, but varies in bud count from year to year here.

Mantis, if John Basilli is one of Petit’s taller ones I would hate to see the others!! It is still short after three years and blooms are usually sitting on top of the plant. I don’t mind the bud count on Memphis as it usually quickly reblooms.

I agree about Blushing Escapade. It multiplies and blooms well. Yes, your color is what it looks like later in the heat. Here it is mid morning

A lot of pretties, Kate. Our reds look a lot different on several plants don't they. My FGT is a flaming red and green and little straight sides. Yous looks like a much more refined beauty instead of my :red-neck looking plant. That afternoon photo of Memphis is a gorgeous one: I like the ruffly edges. Black Falcon Ritual is always a beauty and Mr. Mayor looks wonderful! I really like Magic of Oz. Blushing Escapade is one that i quite like,, especially since we cab see a bit of your garden there. That is a very pretty post. kay
