I've been shading mine on 90 plus days, from about 2 PM to 8 PM, when it is hottest here. I'm not sure how much difference shading at night makes, but I'm concerned my cloth blocks maybe 70 percent, and I know I won't be up to remove them for the morning sun.

Thank you! That’s the thing: my tents are not likely to survive being put up and taken down, so i’d like to just leave it. Im sure they cut out a good 40-50% tho. Ugh.
