Carol B Did you price any other cabinet?

So glad to learn you love your cabinets. We are nearing the end of our kitchen renovation. Unfortunately we just discovered that the facia and crown molding that Signature sent do not match the color of our white cabinets - we are waiting to learn how this will be resolved. I’m hoping for a quick and great solution to this problem!

We're considering Signature (vs Brookhaven/Wood-Mode) and wondering how they have held up? Did you use MDF panel/whole door? Any expansion cracks in paint? Thanks

We had a painted MDF Signature kitchen put in in 2016. I am not at all happy with how it held up. It started deteriorating almost immediately with normal use. Now, 9 years later, the finish has worn off around the knobs and handles and on top of drawer fronts, it scuffs easily, some of the trim has cracked. The painted MDF is very soft and chips easily on the edges, some everyday drips (such as marinara sauce or tea) have stained and been impossible to get off. The installer suggested using magic eraser to remove scuffs and stains but while this removes the stain, it also removes the sheen on the paint so it looks patchy when the sun hits it.

We are a household of 6 and we love to cook, so the kitchen has been well used, but it is also cleaned regularly, and we have always wiped the fronts diligently to prevent water damage. IMO it has not held up nearly as well as my friend’s solid wood kitchen that she purchased at the same time for a half the price. Very disappointed for the price and no more painted MDF for me. Solid wood every time.
