I bought a Zephrine D rose 3 weeks ago. It was small in 1 quart pot. I planted it at the west side of house, not far from air conditioning unit. I planted by a side porch hoping it will climb there. It is growing well so far and has reached 1 foot. I understand as a climber it should rebloom well, but in my area it might get black spots. hopefully it will do fine in my no spray garden

I bought a Zephrine Drouhin rose too! I'm growing mine in a pot...so far it's growing slowly which in my zone is to be expected. :)

@forever_a_newbie_VA8 & @rosecanadian - By any chance you bought them at Lowe's. I did, I couldn't pass up the sale 😆 I hope they work for you both and grow beautifully.

The last 2 photos (labeled with their names) are when they were looking good only 3 weeks ago.

They are both in tall pots, I'm contemplating in planting them in ground but waiting on more compost soil. But also afraid to replant them 🤷‍♀️

Eve: you were lucky to find a Z D in local lows. I would have bought one and yours must be at least 3 gal? congratulations!

I bought mine from an online store, ”Great Garden Plants” along with a couple new roses. It just reaches a foot, long time to go. I will be happy if I get to see any bloom this year.

@forever_a_newbie_VA8 I bought 2 at only $10 each. They were the small sized. I wished I bought more now that I know they are climbing roses. I then planted in the gallon pot using compost soil. The attached picture is when I first got them.

Eve - no I bought mine at Canadian Tire. :) I'll take pictures of mine tomorrow. It has about 5 buds that it's developed since I got it. I've got it twirling around a support.
