Last year when we moved here and I created the front bed, I had two pots labeled Spring Mystique. One bloomed and the other one did not. I started thinking perhaps I mislabeled and when this spring it sent up one scape and yesterday it finally bloomed. It is Spring Mystique. I do hope I get more than one scape this season. The other planting has sent up 4 scapes so far and just about ready to bloom.

So here is Spring Mystique #2. First pic is when it first opened with a sepal slightly bent up. Second pic is when I touch the sepal and moved it down. This one I purchased years ago for doing crosses with Dips but now I have no dips to cross it with.

And of course Clown Parade gave me a trio so I had to take a pic of it. It is shorter this year because I lifted the plant in the spring to get rid of some nasty weeds.

Rocks Cry Out continues to open but had a bit of trouble fully opening early as our temps dipped down in the mid 50's. Doesn't seem to bother SM or CP.

The surprise was a planting of Filled To Overflowing that I thought died last year sent up a fan and a tall scape so waiting to see it bloom then I'll move it in the fall. Now why did I choose it to bring to WV? So many others I could have brought.

Only these 3 daylilies are blooming now. Many of the other perennials I planted last year are all blooming. Trying hard to keep the deer away this year. More heat/humidty coming again and it looks like a wet and stormy weekend ahead. No lack of rain here...thank goodness.

Landscaping project is still not finished which is starting to get on my nerves. Maybe they'll have it done by Labor Day lol. Patience I keep telling myself. That is it from the Wild and Wonderful WV.
