We painted our girl's room sw white truffle and it's a lovely pink. Doesn't look it on the swatch at all, but really nice on the walls. Let your daughter pick her own bedding (give her options). We moved ours from the crib to a twin... we just used a bolster for a bit to make sure she wouldn't fall out. You can have blinds and drapes so no need to choose.

Re decorating for a little girl can be soo fun!! How often/how much do you see yourself willing to put into this over the years? If you paint a nice gentle white/cream and accessorize with pink or whatever her delight is this year it will be MUCH easier over time. Pink princess can easily turn to unicorns and unicorn to more sophisticated dots perhaps by changing a few accessories vs putting up and stropping off wall paper or a saturated paint color. The self stick/easy off wall paper decals are also a boon for mom's trying to keep up with a growing child. If you buy furniture now that will take her into her teen years then that expense is once and done. Her next bed might be least expensive in the long run if you buy what you see her in when she's 17. Once and done.
