I do not want the green to take over. However, I prefer not to dig up this big plant now since we are almost to drought stage at present. Guess I will just rip off the sport and see how it goes. Thank you.

one of the green variations is fried green bananas.. but it dont know if its off this plant.. regardless.. they have all been named ..

Like tj I rip them out. Actually I gather up all the leaves from the reverted eye then twist & pull.

It's Fried Green Tomatoes, ken. The yellow one is Fried Bananas. (I was looking this morning.)

I agree with TJ and Peren.all. Grab the base of that green eye, and yank it out with a twist and pull. When (if) it comes back next year, do it again. Take some notes, so you will go looking for it earlier so it won't leave an empty space in your clump.
