Jeanne Deaver’s Dream is a pretty one. Mister Mayor put on a show in spite of conditions. Grandma’s Smile still looks good.

I am feeling the heat as well but no showers here.

Kate - I've always liked Jeanne Deaver's Dream. The first blooms were very small, but the recent rains have the flowers looking almost normal now.

Nancy - Thanks for the love for the Grandma's Smile seedling. It multiplies very fast. I already have 10 fans after three years.

It rained much of the day here and drenched the flowers. All those beautiful potential pictures marred. Tomorrow, I think, will have the heat that others are noting. It will be interesting to see what Linda Gluck does here this year. Bud count has been modest, to say the least.

So sorry to hear the heat has returned for you. At least you got the rain........Your pink Dearest Valentine seedling is still doing well considering your growing conditions this year.

Mantis - My bud counts on Linda Gluck are 9-11, but I have it planted in a horrible spot. I hope to move it to better real estate this fall. Maybe you need to try a better place too.

Maryl - Yes, considering the growing conditions and how low bud count is on most everything else, the Dearest Valentine seedling is doing well. It's so hard to evaluate seedlings or make decisions about them with this weather.
