We got just over an inch of rain last night, and it's raining again this morning. Yay! My husband said the storm here at 3 a.m. woke him up, but I slept right through it until I heard some thunder at 5:30 a.m.

We got almost 4" last night when I finally heard the weather.

It has been raining here since last night on and off. I'm glad some of you are getting the "liquid gold" finally. Maryl: I'll have to do a dedicated "rain dance" and see if that helps.

We had a great day today ( even with the rain) with our daughter to a small town not too far from us caledl Boonesboro (Md) for lunch at a tavern. Boonesboro was founded in 1792 by George and William Boone, cousins of Daniel Boone, Just a bit of history . Meal was delicious. Then to a farm stand which sells produce much cheaper than the supermarkets. I went to them last year when looking for bushels of tomatoes to do canning. Nice to get out of the house and especially time to visit with our daughter.

It rained last night and has been raining most of the day. Glad you got some this time Nancy.

Our daughter was in from South Carolina for the week. Very pleasant, went to a small zoo, celebrated one of our son's birthday as well. 6 of the 7 were here [one is on a trip].

Our rain came on Thursday and Friday. It was cool and overcast this so it was a great day to hybridize and take photos. The flowers are glorious today--big and fresh after about 2 inches of much needed rain. The rain was accompanied by some thunder and lightning, but there were no strong winds so no damage of any kind here.

Maryl, Julia's rain dance is.. what do you say.da bomb? Anyway, it works great, a little overdone on the wind and thunder maybe 😉. I saw on TV cars going thru pretty deep waters.

Brad, hope you have a greatvweekend with your family. Nice to have cooler weather for their visit.

Nancy, I guess most of my rain came about 2:30 to 4, a lot of blooms are waterlogged.

1/4” of rain, at least temps will be better for a week or so .

We got rain yesterday a thunderstorm and today we got a nice hard rain, but no thunder. and the weather was so nice since it wasn't like walking into an oven this morning. Neither of the rains went on for hours, but we are supposed to have more this week; finally. Maryl, I am so sorry you are still dry.
