new couch doesn’t seem “right”

We just received our new couch yesterday and I love it but it doesn’t seem right in the space. I am looking for some suggestions. I know I need curtains and a rug but not sure what colour to go. I am also going to get new lamps. The couch seems to clash with the dining room chairs (cool tone vs warm tone) and not sure if there are any other solutions. I could get my chairs recovered, but again not sure what kind of Color/tone to go? Would love some help

Also looking for ideas about a coffee table and what wood colour might be better for the side tables?

Too late now, but I probably would have had the chaise portion of the sofa on the sliding door side and moved the club chair to the opposite side at a 45 degree angle to face the TV. But given what you have, get the little round side table away from the wall and center it on the chaise arm. Add a rug and a small rectangular coffee table. Might also put a floor lamp on the chaise side to make that a nice reading spot.

Add some drapes, too, for the slider.

It’ll be easy to tie it all in with a rug and pillows. There are lots of rugs now with gold and gray color schemes.

    Just an example:

    Cute doggy. :)

I’d start with the rug first, before anything else.

The carpet matches to dog too. Lol

Better picture of the colour of chairs in natural light

Wow, they look completely different in that light, not gold like I thought.

Lots of rug possibilties what that.

This might sound crazy but my friend had the exact same issue - the new sofa didn't feel right in the space and it turned out the wall color had to be changed. She painted the wall the sofa was against and the sofa completely came alive. Just a thought!

Whatcha think? I like everything in this room...even the sheers, although I probably would use an unlined linen. Restoration Hardware sell the Perennial fabric ones.

Chairs went from gold to beige? I wonder what color they really are. Rug and pillows will tie it al together. btw your rails over the sofa. they should be lowered. The first one is too high.

If they are the light stone color in the second pix they are fine.

You just need to get a rugs, lamps etc. The room is not finished.

I think the difference from the room posted by @judianna20 is that, at least on my monitor, your walls look yellow. In your pic of the dining room chairs, the walls look white. Crazy how lighting changes everything!

The room colours change throughout the day. The chairs are more of a stone/beige -y colour and the walls are classic grey from Benjamin Moore. The colours seem to change through the day. The chairs for sure have a warmth to them.

I saw this photo and thought of your room. I think you could reverse this set up, put a standing arc light on the chaise end of your sofa and a tall plant and round table down by the doors. I agree you need a good size rug but I'd think about a solid bone/stone color with texture since your room is narrow. Find a narrow, curved coffee table. I picked one from Target - they have lots of cute options.

I don't see any problem with the color of your dining chairs and sofa.

Noticed you are into vinyl! My DH used these frames to hang some of his vinyl collection. The records are easily removed when you want to play one.
