Cherokee Star is very a lovely red. Stands out nicely. Nice group of pics. Glad you got rain and cooler temps.

Julia - Cherokee Star is a nice landscape daylily. Unfortunately this is our only day in the 80s. It's back to the mid-90s tomorrow and for most of this week.

Cherokee Star is a brilliant red, nice. Confessions of a Hemaholic is doing well. I really like it, do you? From This Moment On is a very pretty yellow especially in a clump. Sweet Child of Mine is lovely. White Tooth x Skater 2R reblooming is a nice purple I really like it and the rain drops afte so long are nice.

Well, now we know why Dearest Mahogany is not widely available. Cherokee Star never disappoints. I haven't noticed what height Strawberry Alarm Clock is yet here.

Kay - There are things I like about Confessions of a Hem. and things I don't. It's nowhere close to its registration height in my garden, which I don't like. Here It has nine inch flowers on 26 inch scapes, and that looks totally out of proportion. My plant doesn't get the advertised branching or bud count either. I like the look of the blooms and I love that it sets seed so late in the season in extremely high temps. I look forward to seeing some of its seedlings bloom next year. It also has never rebloomed for me. I wonder if it will rebloom for you.

Confessions of a Hemoholic looks good. I just got it this spring, it is not looking good. I am hoping the rain revives it. With what you say, I may not replace it if it dies. But it is so pretty... such a shame about Dearest Mahogany not multiplying. A beautiful daylily. Those are my favorites. Nice that your seedling is reblooming!

Dearest Mahogany is pretty and Cherokee Star is a bright beacon. I had that one once but it did not survive. Sweet Child of Mine is always pretty. Gotta love it when seedlings rebloom!

Mantis, Nancy and Kate - Dearest Mahoghany is still being grown in a pot. I'm going to planting it either in a raised bed or in the ground this fall. I hope under those conditions it will multiply. I will say the previous two years the pot was in too much shade. When I won it three years at the Region 10 auction, I split it with a friend who lives in TN. Hers died, so I don't know how vigorous it is.

Nancy - I hope your Confessions makes it. I'd like to see if yours would ultimately have a good plant habit. I know the first two years I had mine, it got hit by grubs. But it has been heavily dosed with grub killer for two years now. Also, I set a lot of pods on it last year. That can cause reduced vigor the following year too.

Debra, it's too bad Dearest Mahogany doesn't increase. Let us know if it improves when you plant it in the gound. Your White Tooth seedling is my favorite today, but I also like Cherokee Star.

Cherokee Star is a standout for both of us. I give it an B+ here for color retention in our triple digit heat................ I'm hating this heat. Beautiful daylilies that would normally shine in even the low 90's, are almost panting by the end of the day..........Oh yes, Strawberry Alarm Clock is a pretty pink and doesn't look too pale if it holds on to that color until later..............Maryl
