I don’t have a good answer for you but we just got a Miele 7566 without any wait. My understanding is there is stock of the 7000-series dishwashers at least here in Canada. That’s why we went with a 7000. Well, that and the auto-dos.

I was told by our appliance dealer that Miele isn't even taking DW orders for a year and our dealer is a perferred supplier. They already have several hundred orders that haven't been submitted. It's crazy!

I'm chiming in late to this thread--just posted a separate question about Miele backorders and customer support. @windsorwest do you know if that 40-50 week delay is only for dishwashers or for all Miele products? So frustrating...I'd have to order right now, ugh.

Before ordering you may want to confirm that there are appliance repair businesses in your area that will work on them.

@queen e Where in Canada? Might be worth a trip there and resell them in the US for a small markup.

Appliances Connection shows the Miele G7156SCVI (note: panel-ready) as in stock.

AJ Madison shows the Miele G5266SCVISF (stainless steel) as in stock.

It was through Feron Kitchens in Halifax (east coast) but my understanding is the machines get shipped directly from the Miele Distribution centre in Central Canada.

@wdccruise Note that some of those on line distributors claim they have it in stock, (just one, so hurry), that will ship "today". But when your order and payment is processed, your ship date appears as not yet shipped to warehouse, or some other nevermind what I said about in-stock, message. So they may have their own definition of "in-stock".
