Naughty by Nature is a nice big flower.

Here is Pigment of Imagination at about 11 o'clock. I have never been able to get a picture of it before it starts to change.

Saber Tooth Tiger produces a lot of flowers.

I am not sure if Vampire Bat is a keeper. For one thing, it takes a while to get going in the spring. It looks like its somewhat tender.

Venus Flytrap is finally looking better after collapsing a few years ago.

I wish Wandering Werribee were about a foot taller.

Your Best for Last is looking good. With all this heat mine has looked very pale and washed out so far. I like Buddy's Pinkie, and Cherry Pie a la Mode always looks fantastic. Dr Jules Michael Vinkman X Empire of Dawn and Dusk has good clean color and a nice edge, and I like the color and teeth on Transylvanian Tango X Spacecoast Alpha Wolf. By the way, I saw someone on here post 15. I've been doing 11 and 12 sometimes.

I like all of todays seedlings….im not always a fan of teeth but the Orchids for Minnie seedling caught my eye today. I like the teeth on a less elaborate edge.

Does it get to its registered height?

I too like your Dr. Jules Michael Vinkman x seedling. Nice big eye.........Carmen Sandiego stands out, as well as But Wait There's More. It would make a pretty double with that eye..........Maryl

Julia, Pigment is about registered height but the flowers are just above the foliage. I would say the bud count is lower than registered stats. It grows well, but we did start out with a big clump. The flowers are rather erratic in shape. We probably wouldn't grow it if it weren't a novelty.

I bought Pigment of the Imagination 2 years ago in the fall. Because of my pot system and winter, I sent it on to a friend in coastal California that could grow it on for me. This year she said it was ready to ship. So, here's what happened to mine. One scape came up pretty quickly but was down in the foliage. There were 3 buds that bloomed in succession for 3 days. Each bloom was melted to mush by noon. I never did get to see any discernible color one way or the other. The temperature at that time was in the 90's. Mantis told me years ago I wouldn't like it and Mantis was right. And btw, my California friend was unimpressed with it too, said it was a really slow grower (and that's in coastal California). This may be an area specific grower to do well. It didn't like me or mine and found a new home in the recycle bin, space being limited here...................Maryl

Vampire Bat grows okay here, but doesn't excite. It's in full sun all day, though. Many of my plants have shade part of the day, which makes viewing more enjoyable.

Alas, don't want to be Debbie Downer (ha-ha, I frequently am), but Best for Last was a disappointment here. Sometimes didn't open well; sometimes, washed out. Well, I am not big on the "last" ones, since they usually come in heat, and they have to be good when they come on the tail end, after seeing gorgeous all summer. In fairness, Best for Last was not in an area that gets a lot of water.

The TT and Alpha seedling caught my attention. Some wicked teeth and appealing color. I picked up Candy Bandit because it has been featured here. I missed Crocodile Rock, probably because of the seller's mistake in tabulating. Maybe it was fortuitous. I did get Pineapple Bites, and we know that Nancy likes that one. When But Wait, There's More first came out, it excited me. Now, I wonder what I saw then, but it certainly is an interesting cultivar for those who like doubles.

I keep saying this, but it is odd how daylilies do different. 7 a does not seem much different than 6b, but Pigment of Imagination has grown well here. I am not impressed with the flower either, it melts with the heat of the day. It does go thru a stage I like it, pretty much the stage above. Nothing special at the beginning of the day. My husband really liked it though. Buddy's Pinky looks interesting, pretty.

Buddy’s Pinky is a pretty pink. Crocodile Rock is bright! Impressive seedlings! Last Snowflake is indeed gorgeous.
