Windows Design Dilemma

Window shades/blinds

I have a bay window in kitchen eating area with beautiful views out to the river/ocean. I have nothing on them shade wise as i dont want to block the view. However, when the sun starts to set around dinner time the light into the window is blinding. Any suggestions as to what I can use to not block the view? Perhaps a blind or shade that does not take up much space at the top?

Look at solar shades

Look into top down/bottom up shades and blinds. They allow you to control for light and views.

Simple roller shades in white to match your trim to adjust only when you need to control for light. Less is more!

Solar shades for sure they let you keep the view and control the heat and UV rays I use 10% and in a dark color since the darker they are the better the view so either charcoal or bronze depending on your color scheme have them roller shades so when not needed they take up not space visually .
