    Connection to Landscape Design?

Depends what kind of vibe you're going for. No offense, but it seems to be leaning toward "seedy dive bar" at the moment. Not that there's anything wrong with that ...

I would not change a thing--except may to add a velvet Elvis or the equally classic dogs playing pool.

As in your other thread, you need to tell us what you intend to do in this room and what kind of style you want and what kind of budget you have. From the pic, you appear to have a number of issue to fix before you can even think about décor:

    • ceiling looks to have serious problems
    • fan indicates you need some kind of HVAC solution
    • re-route surface wiring behind the walls
    • install more and better lighting. Fluorescents are just unpleasant

Once all that is taken care of, prime out the walls and trim with 2 coats of Zinnser primer sealer (so the red doesn't seep through). Then re-post with a measured drawing of the space and new pictures with everything primer white. That's when we can start helping with décor.

What's it attached to? Is there any nearby HVAC system that you can tie into? What's normal in your area?

I suggest a mini-split heat pump. Keep the relative humidity in a range that maintains the velvet Elvis in good condition.

Still not alot of info to go on ... does this space have windows or any openings for cross ventilation? What's the general climate like? A mini-split might be your best bet but no one can say for sure without more specifics to go on.

As for decorating -- I do like the bold red and gray. To continue the slightly seedy bar theme, label those doors -- assuming they go into the house, one could be "Staff". Is the other a restroom? storage? ?? A dart board goes well with a pool table. Need more lounging chairs and side tables. Beer fridge. Wall art: google "painting on thrift store paintings" for some ideas. Overhead lights -- look up "LED Garage Lights" on amazon. Is the ceiling painted?

The place is like a warehouse.  It has no windows.  And it gets super hot inside and humid

    What's your budget range?

My budget range is between 5000 to 7000...

The first order of business it to take care of the heating/cooling issues. Until that's done, no one will want to be there no matter how pretty or cool you make it look. Get some estimates for fixing the HVAC. Nickel's right: it will probably eat most of your budget.

The rest is mostly DIYable though you may need to learn some skills. If you value your time highly, then save up some more cash and have the work done professionally.

"You might need to spend most of it on an HVAC system."

I bet that will be double that in todays dollars. Keep saving or walk away.

Who should I hire to go and clean up the whole place? This is in L.A. Any recommendations?
