Photos would help. Lamps come in all different sizes, I have swing arm lamps over my bed with two arms, one roughly 24”, one 36”, that might fill the space?

I think it had as much to do with the bedside tables and the light relation to those as the relation to the bed position. Can you share some photos so we can see better?

As above regarding the right balance and the size of the nightstand will dictate the size of sconces. See if you can find a style that swings and has the on/off switch within the lamp itself.

We need pictures and this is not something that happns often so maybe a bit of info why the reason to down size the bed.

The bed was too large for the room ( I think 13 x 15 - I need to Re measure) additionally, I just got out of a 30 year abusive marriage and do not want any reminders. Currently, I put an extra twin I had in my room. I’m repairing everything and getting kids situated, so lots of moving things around.
