Wonderful nook! The sheer curtain is a perfect choice, and it is definitely one of the highlights of the whole space! I can imagine how nice it is to read books there. :)

I have been beating this drum for ages: Curtain panels add sooo much to a room. Now just lose the horrid venetian blinds an you are all set! Oh and some hemming is in order. The easiest thing to do is raise the hardware to the ceiling, I suppose but that would enhance the issue you have. What needs to happen is the hardware needs to graze the top of the window, same as the hem across the floor. But you are on the right track!!

I love the practical use of blinds and maybe they really need them for sun or privacy.

It is true that you can see the tops of the blinds but they are not ugly.

I agree about the hem. I never was a fan of curtain panels puddling on the floor. There was a time back in the 90s when it was all the rage and some of them got pretty ridiculous. This is not too much here, just a gentle fall.

For me, I would leave out the panels as I prefer the clean look without them. They dont really function. But that is just my preference. Otherwise, they do add softness and the clean color does not distract. It adds a soft and airy brightness.

It looks like a nice little corner.
