Any comments on hydrangea 'Incrediball Blush' ?

I've inquired of this previously, I have been pleased with 'Invincibelle Spirit II', whatever the summer has thrown it's way, with adequate moisture it has performed exceptionally well to maintain good color even into October. 'Pinkerbelle' hasn't been so swell, insipid color quickly fading out within weeks, there's no comparing any color holding qualities between the two of them!

A forum member mentioned of being pleased of the color fastness of 'Incrediball Blush' ... I have a perfect location for siting this plant out of too much hot midday sun. Anyone have further experience to share? 'Incrediball' does fantastic, though would like to try the Blush version ... if it's not so great, I'll instead pick up another 'Invincibelle Spirit II'.

Thanks all for helping me to decide upon this very nice hydrangea! Finally able to track it down at a not too distant nursery, unfortunately when I called they only had one remaining and the plant being pretty wind beaten up with so many kinked and broken stems, sigh ... though, the 25% discount helped to make the damage a bit more acceptable, besides it's really now all about next year, some cuttings will be taken as well! Snapped up another 'Invincibelle Spirit II', it being so big and strong there was no resisting! The two hydrangeas and five perennials that included a 'Rain Dance' clematis and 'Atlantis' sedum I've been wanting to acquire for a few years now, the total price of $86.00 leaving me to walk away with a smile on my face :). Oh, again, had come across 'Pinkerella' at Home Depot, it's sooo blah in comparison with how quickly it greens out, glad I had mistakenly over dosed mine with fertilizer and done it in!

I like the color and the fade is decent for a pink one. It does have a tendency to flop for me grown in part shade. Z4, MN.

Thank you, good to know, I have enquired of a local greenhouse if they be carrying it. I have a few places really calling out for a large growing white or pink arborescens hydrangea!

I do not particularly like the shade of pink of these shrubs. I saw the pink Incrediballs and Invincibelles side by side and they just did not say ’buy me’ for the price.

I’ve had it for 4 years, it’s planted on the west side of our house. It’s not a strong grower for me, but it’s a reliable bloomer and I love its antique pink color.

Seldom have seen 'Incrediball Bush' at the local nurseries, mind you I'm not out and about as in the past. I previously posted this shot of 'Invincibelle Spirit II', it really holds well!

Mazerolm, I searched out my old thread and again seen your 'Blush' photos, I'll stop at Home Depot and just "maybe" it's in stock.

I love my Blush- it is gorgeous up close and a very easy keeper.

@cearbhaill (zone 6b Eastern Kentucky): wow!! I can’t believe how large your Blush is! And it’s very helpful to see Ruby in the same pic. Here’s a pic of Blush in my garden. It’s still very small compared to my Annabelles:

Cearbhaill, oh boy, 'Blush' really is vigorous and those blooms are beauties, thanks for sharing! 'Ruby' is of intense coloring when opening and holds for a decent good while and had shown good rebloom, well until I had killed the plant by digging and leaving it suffering in a pot for all too long. Today, will check a few places in hopes of bringing 'Blush' home!

Mazerolm, I bet your 'Blush' will double in size for next year, it looks nice there tucked in with the hostas :)

FrozeBudd, I am just catching up with these posts and you have been SHOPPING! LOL! Congrats on your great finds!!!

BTW, how long do the blooms on these Incrediball shrubs last for? Do they last as long as the paniculata blooms please?

I am starting to like my Invincibelle Lace but the blooms don't last long. So I am wondering if these other ones have blooms that last for longer?

Yes, I felt great walking away from the nursery with two hydrangeas and five perennials all for a very good price!

Arborescens types are early to flower, say by mid July for us in the far north. Depending on the variety, some hold their color very long and well, others not so great. am very pleased with 'Invincibelle Spirit II' and it appears 'Incrediball Blush' also maintains nicely. 'Ruby' does green out faster, but what an amazing color to start out with that it should not be forsaken!

'Incrediball Blush', color is more pleasing to the eye in person.

Thanks, FrozeBudd! I tried the original Invinciball in Calgary before - it was OK but I just didn't enjoy how thirsty and prone to wilting it was, especially in our bright sun here in Alberta! But maybe I should try these new ones in a really part shade location with moisture and see what happens? Thanks!
