To Keep or not keep this table and chairs

We just purchased a beach condo that needs a makeover- this is a picture of the existing table and chairs- older but is it back in style if I reupholosered the cushions? I will be adding hardwood floors , paint and new living room furniture- will keep the white cabinets and counter, will probabaly change the backsplash. If reupholsterd, ideas for fabric-

I’d keep it because I know how comfortable those chairs are. Not just for eating, but also for using the table for puzzles or games. I wouldn’t change the upholstery quickly if what is there is in good (clean) condition. Wait until your new floors are in.

    Congratulations on the new place!

Another vote to keep, it’s a great set, and definitely popular again.

If it doesn’t work out later, I have no doubt it would easily sell. But I predict you’ll be happy with it.

ETA: Wait, I changed my mind. It’s terrible. I think you should send it to Texas … I’ll message you my address. :D

Do you like them? That's a lot more important than whether or not they are "in style". Personally, I do not like them and, therefore, I would not keep them. But if you like them and they are in good condition, it would make sense to keep them.

I like them, and they are a comfy style. They also match the other tables. I would do the other changes and then decide what to do with the set: keep, modify, or rehome.

Disclaimer: there is a papasan chair in my "formal" living room. I like rattan.

Are the cushions separate? If so, try taking off the back cushion and see if the chair is comfy with just one. I think the chairs would look more "now" with just the one cushion.

I am not sure this ever went out of style especially for a beach condo since it has that kind of feel.

What difference does it make anyway? Is it comfortable? Do YOU like it?

And what would you replace it with. Quality furniture is not inexpensive so do you want to spend the money? Do you have something you like better? Have you price what it would cost to have the cushions changed - while reupholstery is not cheap, it is significantly cheaper to replace those kinds of what appears to be separate cushions.
