Bathroom Fixture coordination

We're in the planning stages of a guest bath "refresh" - not moving plumbing, we are upgrading electrical to handle a soaker tub - layout is staying the same, just getting rid of the 1980s honey oak cabinets and blue and pink linoleum + expanding the tub area a little. This is not our first, second, or third remodel project and we have a very good contractor we love and use for all our projects.

House is a real farmhouse on a real horse farm. New cabinets are ebony stained maple, floor is carrara basketweave with black insets, white subway tile in the bath area walls. I am using polished chrome for faucets, cabinet pulls, towel hooks and bars, undermount sinks and probably some sort of granite or quartz remnant from a local stoneyard/fabricator. The vanity mirrors are black trim to match cabinets Paint color is unknown because I like to put swatches on the wall and live with it for several days and look at it in several different types of lighting at different times of the day.

My question for the design experts is about the vanity lighting - is it okay to mix metals and go with black vanity lighting? I initially wanted to stick with all one metal, but am not really finding what I want in chrome, but am seeing a lot of nice rustic looking lighting in black. Would I be committing some sort of design crime if I mixed metals or is it more important that the lights match the mirror trim vs matching faucets and cabinet hardware?
