Blackout blinds/shade/drapes or... - help me decide

What options are in the market for the windows set up on this room (see photos)? I hope to learn more about prices and how complex a project would be depending on what makes sense to implement.

We moved into this house about a year ago, and although the blinds in place are decent, I think the room would provide better sleep to a child by having less sun early in the morning or later in the evening.

The windows along the top don't open and currently have no cover at all. The larger windows below have blinds ("Venetian" aluminum blinds based on what I just googled).

Do you have any picture ideas, suggestions, or things I should consider when looking for alternatives? I don't know where to start, so I appreciate any help you can provide.

Note: the house is west coast style so the solution should ideally keep the style in mind :)

I spy a cute baby! As a toddler mom I definitely agree that blacking out more light is likely to result in your little one (and all of you) getting more sleep. On my own windows (which are a more typical setup) I've found a combination of blackout blinds plus blackout curtains gives the best results -- neither gets the whole job done, but in combination I can get the room super dark. I'm not sure you'll be able to get blinds or curtains to cover all of this, but if you cover as much as you can with each it should be a big improvement.

Here's what I think I'd do:

-Get three sets of exterior mount blackout blinds (I like the cellular kind, but for a very affordable option you might look at the Ikea Fridans) and mount them above each transom; buy them long enough that they can pull down to cover both the transom and windows below. This means for both the right and the left, when they're pulled down they'd cover some wall and some window. For the one on the right you'd have to stop the shade at the edge of the closet.

-Mount a curtain rod above the blinds (making sure it projects far enough not to interfere with the exterior mound blinds) running the full length of the wall and put blackout curtains on it

-For that little piece of window on top of the closet, I'd sit something in front of it (nice looking box?) to block the light.

Thanks @Michelle G and @denkyem, those are great suggestions. I'll look for those products. I forgot to mention that I am also looking for a solution related to screens as we live surrounded by trees and are not short on bugs trying to crawl or fly their way into the house. So the solution will have to take into account room for a screen (arghh, more complexity!).
