I know that the colors very with lighting so I’m sure might cause a problem.

Is this the exact tile color? I have agreeable gray in my 2 story den, foyer, up the stairs and on the landing of the 2nd floor, I know how it can look very greige, heavy on the beige side certain times of the day. Even so, it's a beautiful color. Can you stop by SW and get a color swatch of it to hold up next to your tiles? How do your sample tiles look against your wall color? We have a gray sofa and TV console, both blend in great with our wall color. Have you considered painting your kitchen white?

I understand your post now. I like the middle tile best to go with the paint color, but it would help to see them against a painted wall.

The background is the painted wall. Depending on lighting it can get very beige. What if I stick with a gray like in the picture I provided and painted that wall with a more gray tint. In the picture above the tile is beige. I really like gray bc it provides more contrast with all the white going on. I just worry the gray my not match with agreeable gray.

Painting kitchen white might be too much white. There are so many tiles in gray color. I guess I just need to find the color that doesn’t match the agreeable gray.

IMO none of those work with the counter and herringbone backspalsh will go the way of the mosaic glass tile and be dated in no time . Why not look at a nice gray glass large format tile with matching grout and IMO wall color should always be chosen at the end of the build.

Have a picture of what your describing. I like the accent of the herringbone because the cabinets and countertops are about the same color. It adds some design to it. If it gets outdated it can be replaced. There is always the option of a brick design.
