Orders, orders, several orders

I have only daylily that is continuing to bloom now : Marseilles Watercolor.

I received my order from Blue Ridge today, Bob Selman does always send nice plants and today was no exception, Healthy, green, extra fan and a nice bonus Frog Prince.

Tomorrow another order arrives and a one plant order from the auction. I will be quite happy to get thee new ones in pots. I have planted all but one that I got from Debra...and it ie ready to plantnow too.

The right Front bed extension is really coming along now. We will pick up another load of mulch in the next couple of days.Everything is looking so much better.

However I won't be in the garden the next 48 hours since I had another skin cancer taken off my face today...4 1/2 hours in the surgery chair and four additional times the surgeon had to return and removed additional tissue since the margins weren't clear. At any rate I was told no bending over or stressing the incision due to the possibility of too much additional pressure could tear stitches.

Oh well the next three days will be in the mid-90s so it is just as well. Just a bump in the road.

It sounds like you've got quite a few new daylilies. Bob Selman does always send gorgeous fans, and plenty of them. His daylilies are pricey, but he makes up for it by usually sending more than two fans per daylily and great bonuses. Sorry to hear about another cancer procedure, but I'm glad the doctor got clean margins. Don't overdo it in the garden.

I'm just now planting some of the daylilies I got a year ago that have been in pots. And even though I'm downsizing and moving lots of daylilies out, I got a couple on the auction that should arrive this week. We're in the high 90s for a couple more days, and then it will return to the 80s here.

Boy, you have been so busy. ....Bob Selman always sends such great fans. It's a shame his are so expensive now as there are a few I'd like to trial. In his climate he can't test all that well for a daylilies sunfastness, so it's hit or miss for that trait........... It's 100 degrees here this week, so my life is spent watering, watering watering..............My Mary's Baby is reblooming. I like this daylily so much and to see it in bloom again this late in the season is a real treat............Sorry to hear about your cancer procedure, but glad they got clean margins. Couldn't have been pleasant for you....I wish you a speedy recovery and enjoy your days off.........Maryl

With our weather coming in that will be, as Debra said, in the high 90s and even a record breaking 100 degrees in my area, it most definitely will not hurt you to sit back and take it easy after your surgery. You have been busy on that computer it would appear!!! I hope your new acquisitions will indeed make you very happy!! Get well soon so you can indeed get back into the soil to work where I know you are happiest!!!

Yes, you know me well, Kate. I have so much enjoyed working on the new extension. All Debra's plants are in the ground except one and twp orders are soaking and the last three will be here this week. I have had so much fun gardening after a year off. this latest one will allow me to work at least nexr week and the heat will make it easier to stay inside as ordered. A few have left my garden (as always) and the new space allows me to have fun again. Debra will never know how much I appreciate the plants she sent to me.

It's going to be hot the next two days here, but then a cool down to seasonal temps. The tractor returns today after being repaired so Bob and I will be busy.

Kay, I hope you heal quickly. I can't wait to see pictures of your new plants next season.

Kay, I can imagine how much you want to be our, but at least, as you said, the next couple days are going to be very hot. Good time to take it easy. I got a few of Debra's daylilies too, very excited to have them! Got a few more yesterday. Decided I would let them vtil tomorrow afternoon when it is supposed to be cooler. I look forward to seeing your new plants!
