It doesn't look too big to me, but were you thinking about having a bench or console under it? Can you post a picture of the foyer shot from the other direction?

Hi, what a beautiful foyer. An entry needs seating, a mirror to check one's appearance, a table for keys/mail.

Yes, hang the art on that wall across from the door. Place a nice upholstered chair under the left frame near the corner and angled 45 degrees. Personally, I wouldn't put a bench under it, although it looks good, it's not practical having to worry about leaning back on the artwork.

A standard height console would go on the door wall on the left as you enter. Place a good sized round mirror above it and it will reflect the light from the windows. Place a pair of table lamps on it.

Accessorize with umbrella stand, baskets, etc., a small side table for the chair. Place your plants where they can get light, behind the chair or right of the console.

Go ahead with the painting, it will look great as the primary feature in the space. Don't be tempted to crowd your space, you did say you wanted a clean modern feel.  You have pictured a small half table. Swap that for a console table, maybe in a metal (brass, gold ? - picking up from the frame but that could end up a bit tacky though. Black? ) but not a heavy solid piece. Something more delicate and less weighty, and not busy with decorarion,  in the same spot so the space does not become cluttered and lose it's light airy feel.

Great artwork for the entry. I would put a console on the wall with the light switches. You don’t want to hit the frame putting things on a console.

The art is in no way too big but now you need to anchor it so a really nice bench underneath would do that , You do not share pics of the space foof this entry but IMO there should be some connection and an entry to me is the first glimpse of what is about to appear. The art seems to be a bit modern compared to the doors and flooring so it would be nice to see the LR for sure. I think a Barcelona bench would be great but that is my design style I need yours Please make sure that piece is hung so the center is at eye level.

id probably put an area rug too if possible.

we flipped a house w/a staircase that went 'right out the front door', which I believe means, 'money will go out the door'? since it was in an area w/a lot of asian buyers, we actually redid the staircase and jogged it at a 90 degree angle so that it wouldn't 'go out the door'.

So, I get it. Everyone has their own thing.

Besides, it's bad luck to be superstitious.

I bought a console table for the wall the light switch is on and a round mirror to go above it. Will find small upholstered chair for next to the painting at the entryway & I love the idea of the battery operated wall sconces. Our home has that travertine through most of the living area & I don’t want to put the expense into changing the floor out. Not sure if I should buy a small decorative rug for entry. prefer modern style elements but the house has a traditional vibe so I am trying to bridge that gap.

Mixing traditional with the new, modern vibe will bring fresh character and will create a curated feel and look. I think it will be amazing Patricia. I look forward to your reveal!
