At different stages of my life I had different needs. At some points I wanted to feel like a 10 in my bedroom, wanted colors that made me feel sexy/desirable. At other times I needed a sanctuary, calm and quiet, an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. After having cancer and a heart attack, I am going for colors that make me feel happy. I want to feel alive and feel joy in every room of my home, including the bedroom. I want to smile when I wake up and see the art and bedding and colors in the room.

So I think you need to know what you want from the room and pick colors that work toward meeting your emotional needs.

I would go first with new bedding. This boho style bedding would change nothing with any color of your wall.
