If they were reposting old posts, wouldn't there be old comments along with the post?

I agree with you that there are fewer new visitors on Houzz due to age----and they also have joined Facebook instead, I think.

Personally, I find Facebook interesting, but not really satisfying in many of the garden forums. I find that the comments are from around the world and often their country or gardening zone are not mentioned at all---especially when it comes to hosta.

I can't answer the question about no replies on the questionable posts. But really, would Paula really post that message at this time of the year? You would think she would post something about getting your photos ready or "look forward to December 26. The post in question looks like a post that would be done in Late January, which was roughly 8 months ago.

I too, enjoy this group. I don't do facebook, so I can't really comment on the quality of the hosta forums. The only one I have used is the Hosta Disease site, which was moderated by Carol Brashear at the time. That was several years ago, though. They really couldn't answer my questions, but The Texas A&M disease diagnostic lab didn't help much either.

You know, the world changes - sometimes for the better and sometimes, not.

If a post is added to a thread and then removed, the thread will come back to the top and seem out of place. Just one possibility.

Just to clarify bkay, I wasn't saying that Paula posted her thread recently. I think she posted it months ago, and for some reason it appeared recently. Perhaps it was her last thread and she, herself, didn't notice that it didn't post. A mystery how it turned up now.

I still say Debra clicked unanswered posts by mistake.

You guys are probably right. I never use the "unanswered" posts thingy.

Although I like the forum, I'm not enamored with Houzz. This forum is just a shadow of what it has been, so I have a tendency to blame them first about everything.

Yes, I am the guilty one!!!!! I admit that openly! As I mentioned to ken, out of desperation I went searching for some posts that were ”unanswered” because the forum has been slow!! I’m a forum addict I guess——I just went anywhere in the forum to get my fix…….never thought to look at how old the posts were, definitely addict behavior!

I swear I am working on this compulsion and have an appointment today with an addiction counselor!! Please forgive me and pray for my recovery…….. 😆😂🤣😁
