@arcy_gw thank you for the panel idea! Was thinking this as a possibility too. The only reason I didn’t consider curtains yet is because the windows are placed right next to the fireplace.

You might do curtains that stack back to one side of the windows, farthest from the fireplace. Or consider fabric faux Roman shades mounted at ceiling level to hang over what you have now.

Go to greatbigcanvas.com and get what they call a Canvas Print, ready to hang, 40x60 inches over the sofa.

Your floor lamp is fine, just place it behind and to the left of the recliner and turn it toward wall and ceiling for ambient light. If you can, point one or two shades down for reading on the recliner.

The triple-frame artwork will work on the wall behind the dining table. Move the table out so it is under the light and place 1 chair on each side.

Put the plants on stands by the windows, so that the plants are in the window and can get light. You already have one plant stand, the round pedestal by the sofa.

THe very first thing I would do is get a table lamp for your end table. The lighting will look much better.

You have a lovely space. I love curtains, however, not everyone does. I would add some that are simple and that blend instead of contrasting the walls.

I would place a mirror over the console with two unwired candle sconces on each side. I agree that I would feel uncomfortable with drapes so close to FP. The seating feels a little tight, can you space it out a bit?
