You have been super busy! What a feat. The roses are lovely-I love fall flush although it is never spectacular like spring. But the fur babies win the prize! How adorable and what pals they appear to be.

OMgosh. What a great picture of the furry duo. You must have done something especially endearing for them to pose for you like that.............I was thinking the same thing as Mantis: how great those seedlings look..............When I was growing roses I tried Double Delight, Peace and other bi-color standards. Most didn't look all that good in our heat. The colors quickly bled into each other as the heat intensified so the drama of the separate colors was lost. DD was fragrant for me also and both of your roses look lovely in your milder climate...........Maryl

I know how much work goes into creating/enlarging or redoing beds and good to know your tractor is up and running again. I so miss our big JD tractor that we had in NYS. I've looked at getting a smaller version with the front loader and attachments for tilling but can't afford nor have at the present time a big enough outbuilding to store one.

Love the photo of Sparky and Riley. Amazing how perfectly still they sat for their pic. Pretty roses.

The redone select seedling bed looks great! What a lot of work! Sparky and Riley are adorable. How did you get them to pose so well? All three roses are gorgeous. I think the unknown one is my favorite.

Bob and I were in the house and we looked outside and Sparky and Riley were sitting there. I told Bob it looked like they were asking for a picture to be taken. Sparky, the cat, seems to to think Riley is his mother.

On a sad note, Sparky was killed by a car this morning. He was a great cat--very affectionate. He was a great mouser too. He will be missed.

It's always a hazard to let cats roam. I've lost them to the road myself. It never gets any easier to loose our companions. I miss mine every day and my heart goes out to you, as well as Bob and Riley.....Maryl
