I am going to be repainting the room, the brick on the fireplace, and possibly, restraining or painting thrantel and fp trim. I was wondering if there was anything that I could do on the wall above and around the fp, to really make that wall a focal point? I have crown molding in the hallway and living room/fam rm. I don't know which is appropriate, since the TV and wall unit are in that other room. I jabe shadowboxes in the dining room.
So, I don't want to do anything that is out of character with the rest of the house.
I've seen some missoon style walll trim but that's be too contemporary. I have also seen shadowbox type trim painted the same color as the walls. Suggestions?
