I'm pretty certain I no longer have that exact seedling from the cross - the one plant of the cross that survived has 5-petaled blooms, and it has never been released into commerce, nor has it been named. It failed in evaluation because it got Blackspot too badly. Though it loses 2/3 of its foliage by the time its completed its bloom cycle, that doesn't impact its vigor in the least - it just keeps on going and loads up on new foliage for the remainder of the year.

It blooms only once, for a fairly brief time. Its a shame its as prone to Blackspot as it is, because in every other way its a remarkably good rose; makes an arching shrub about 5 feet tall and 7 feet wide, with pretty foliage and attractive architecture. It is loaded with bloom for 3 weeks, and the buds are covered in maroon moss.

But there's no way I was going to pursue this, given its disease issues.

I know you could not keep/save all your crosses, Paul, but what a beauty 72-08-11 was.
