@Mrs. S,  I want the place to have a modern style. I am planning to change the dining chairs to modern ones.

Would you be able to suggest an oil painting that would fit that wall?

I would leave the walls blank as they speak for themselves, plus I love them. Adding a rug under the table and trees/plants.

I think you had it, when you said the wide wall could have 3 pieces... to stretch out a bit. After that, the style and colors, what? :) glad houzzer asked, a good thing to ask, what you like about them -- is it partly the colors? the free floating?

I'd add whatever furniture you need first. Just for example, if you have purpose for the bit of space between dining and seating -- that item would influence art.

Wonderful room, btw! Rustic, so I have to post idea to repeat wood -- end chairs could be all metal... 'goth modern'! I will read your response later, I hope.

Not a pro - but to go all out opposite modern, maybe there's chrome and mirror and angular.

Or a barely there minimal which these chairs seem- so that the wall art stands out more.

I love looking at art on Etsy. Often, directly from the artists. Modern really isn't my thing, but I do like color, so how about a giclee of Jackson Pollock art?There are really so many options. I wouldn't know your budget or taste, or anything.

I didn't delve into it, but this piece might be printed onto glass or something. Anyway, it might be shiny which you may like (or would it just suffer from glare?). But it is colorful:

Modern art is so many things. Anyway, I think it's cool to have modern furnishings in a rustic environment. It's going to be a neat room.

Delicate looking. Posting what might relate to your accenting blue, and to warm color of floor.... as you said... more than one would be 'needed'.

Could this soft nature seem a blend with your current dining set? maybe the top could be sanded or stained lighter in a color of stone.

Thanks all for your inputs.  I love the art ideas.  I don't particularly like the set of 3 prints I included on the post. What I like about them were the colors. A friend of mine suggested I use softer accent colors instead of the harsh blue of my pillows.

And the idea of having 3 instead of 1 was just because that wall is huge; basically just to fill the space. I like the idea of having one big painting, except that they come very expensive. I don't have the budget for anything over $500.

I was thinking of adding a small workspace, a rug under the dining table, get more modern/contemporary chairs and add a plant or two.

That wall is art in itself. Were it mine, the only ”art” I might consider would be some sort of iron schulpture or shape.

Ah, budget ! Art originals and prints are often sold without framing. Framing can really enhance and "make" the art, of course. And framing can also cost significantly more than art. So, with a $500 budget, what to do?

I am pretty experienced in budget shopping, especially for art! Nextdoor, Craigslist, Offerup, Facebook Marketplace, are where to start with such a budget. Keep at it! I have a furniture consignment store near me. Maybe you do, too. There is always a big selection of large, framed original art to consider. For me, "the hunt" makes finding something all the more enjoyable.

Friend's comment about harsh blue - if 'liked' it could be used in a few places -- recall that I posted inexpensive canvas with striking blue object. A block of color[s] - and so far, your furniture seems 'in line' with that.

Do you want that color, with straight lines, and maybe one obvious modern bit of chrome or iriidescence?

Here's an extreme item, if liked, would shine/contrast lots. Would seem to fit with sleek furniture and flooring.
