Do you use the fan in the summer? I don't know how useful it is since it's not centered in the room. I would eliminate one of the junction boxes, move the other to the middle of the room and install a fan if you use it, or if not, some type of chandelier. If this is an office/bedroom then you don't need anything fancy. Most fans come with lights. Even if you rarely use it, it doesn't hurt to have it.

Convert them to LED waffer lights, they look like recessed lighting. you dont need anything hanging in this space.

I lke RL's suggestion, or one central flushmount fixture -- just in the use case where you come in at night to find something and can flick on the wall switch. The rest of the time, use whatever lamps and so forth make you happy.
