Sheila would taking a screenshot of your photo then saving it for posting work? Toolbelt

Toolbelt, I called my computer genius bar and went down there with my newish (June) iphone 13 and my newer MacBook Air and they helped me.

I had previously had them transfer my photos from my old MacBook Pro" iphoto" to my new computer "Photo".

They asked if I wanted the new format implying it was better. I elected that and my photos transferred, but now are lacking the organizational folders I had had the photos in, organized by year.

After the transfer, also, the photos would not attach to the Houzz site.

The guy Matt, ended up changing a setting in my phone that optimizes my ability to attach a photo, from a setting that had maximized the photo storage on my phone. I can offload my phone photos to my computer, so maximal storage on my phone was only hurting my ability to use the photos.

Now, if a photo won't attach I have to move it to my desktop Harddrive? and then attach it.

All in all a huge hassle, but at least going forward my new photos will attach as they always did, if houzz is working.

If I had a do over I would have elected to transfer the photos in the old format considering what a hassle this was. My old computer and phone were falling apart and I really had to do this but getting the right format to transfer the photos and the right settings on my new iphone were where I derailed. Explaining to the computer geeks how I use my computer and phone ahead of all of this might have avoided some of this hassle. They could have picked the right way to transfer and the right way to set the phone.

Sheila, that sounds like a huge hassle and I'm glad you're at least partially on the way to resolving it. I am an idiot when it comes to computers except for the most basic functions, but luckily had the foresight to marry a computer geek. I'd be utterly lost without my organizational folders in which my roses are grouped not only according to years but also the four seasons. After my roses were gone I could not bear to look at any of them, but now that hope has again risen I'm able to at least peek at them now and then, while envisioning what I might possibly be able to have again.

Years from now all of our photos will be loss. Maybe it's time we printed a few and put them in a scrapbook.

Welcome back Ingrid. It is nice to see posting again.

We have a new plant of Potter and Moore planted in the English Shrub Rose Garden up here in Canada, Summerland. Planted last April. It is a gorgeous thing and growing well for a young band shipped north under trying conditions.

I planted one here because of all the times you told us how fine a rose it is, and I think you once said it was your favourite English Rose. I guess you "enabled me"!

    Cheers, Rick
